Verdure made in Oudenaarde during the 17th century.
The tapestry shows a green landscape with trees and
water.

About 4 threads per cm
The tapestry is a fragment of a bigger piece. It has
been cut during the years. The fantasy board is
missing.
A conservation of the tapestry has been done, aswell
as a complete restauration by hand.
A new lining in linen is protecting the tapestry with a
new hanging system in velcro.

Flemisch tapestry
197 x 295cm
Flemisch tapestry made during the 17th century.
Presentation of a walking couple in landscape. The
man is courting the woman. Impressing boards with
pillars and statues. There is a castle in the side of the
cartouche.

An earlier restauration has been done by Ateliers De
Wit during the 1970’s.
The restauration was completed by hand.
There is a new hanging system with velcro.
Aubusson
194 x 161cm
Aubusson with original board made in France during
the 20th century.
Aubusson with original board made in France using
the cards of Oudenaarde tapestry.
Some of the weavers of Oudenaarde worked in the
city of Aubusson in France and they brought the cards
with them.
Verdure, view with a lot of green, trees and waterfall.
In the water there is a heron.

The tapestry has been washed and a new protection
in linen with new hanging system in velcro has been
installed.

Mythological scene

Mythological scene made in Brussels 17th century.
Tapestry picturing Jupiter. There is an eagle on the
right. Everything is showin in a nature landscape.
The tapestry is conserved in f ragments. It was cut
during the passing of time.

There has been a full restauration by hand. The
tapestry has a new edge and a new suspension
system in the form of velcro.

Castle with heron made in Oudenaarde 17th century.
Showing a forrest landscape near water. In between
the green, there is a castle with a tower and some
houses.
On the left you can see a flourishing thistle and an iris
on the right.
You can see a heron in the centre of the tapestry.

century.
Typical presentation of a verdure, green landscape
with water. Ducks are swimming in the water. Birds in
the trees. In the middle there is a view with buildings.
There is a decorative board with flowers and fruit.

restauration has been made by hand.

Fireplace garniture made during the 20th century.
Handmade textile piece for the decoration of a
fireplace. Made by F. Antonissen, J. Seberg,
Ameublement, Antiques, Antwerp.
The piece is finished with a metal fringe.
Restauration has been done and a new linen support
with velcro has been added on the back.
